Lake Michigan (Oak Street Beach)

Lake Michigan (Oak Street Beach) by ChicagoExperiences

One of the five great lakes, Lake Michigan, is the only one located entirely in the United States. It has the surface area similar to the state of West Virgina and has the second largest volume of the great lakes. Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park

Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park by ChicagoExperiences

The Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park is a wonderful place to get outside, appreciate art, and simply take a stroll through a beautiful park. The sculptures range from spirited, abstract, ugly, and majestic. When the area became an eyesore to the community in the 1980’s the citizens of Skokie decided to turn it into a walking park, and at the same time a group of private citizens proposed they place large-scale sculptures throughout the park. When both groups came together a new sculpture park was made and opened in 1988. The two-mile stretching park is great for a morning jog or an evening walk as you enjoy over 60 sculptures within the park. Phone: (847) 679-4265 Website - http://www.sculpturepark.org/

Chicago O'Hare International Airport

Chicago O'Hare International Airport by ChicagoExperiences

Phone: (773) 686-2300 O'Hare is the world's second busiest airport in aircraft movements. O'Hare is the fifth busiest airport in the world Until 2005, O'Hare was the world's busiest airport in number of takeoffs and landings. Until 1998, O'Hare was the busiest airport in the world in number of passengers. In 1949, the airport was renamed "O'Hare International Airport" to honor Edward O'Hare, the U.S. Navy's first flying ace and Medal of Honor recipient in World War II. Its IATA code, "ORD", remained unchanged, however, resulting in O'Hare being one of the rare instances of an airport's three-letter designation bearing no connection to the airport name or metropolitan area.
