Farm History: The original land on both sides was a potato farm owned by Steve Bednar. During the 30′s and 40′s, Mr. Bednar was a coal miner in Roslyn and when his shift was over, he’d work his land clearing trees and planting potatoes during the growing months.
Owner Dennis Schwab picked potatoes on this property when he was a kid. The remnants of the potato cellar for this property are on the adjacent piece of property just to the south of the hay barn near the road. The property has changed hands a couple of times since then and has since been producing hay most recently.
Dennis and Beverly purchased the farm more than 10 years ago and have been grazing the family horses during the summer months.
