West Evans Road Pond

A small impoundment off the Snake River between the bottom of Alpowa Grade and Clarkston, is open to fishing year-round. West Evans ponds will receive 425 jumbo rainbow trout this year, in addition to the regular stocking of just over 21,000 8-12 inch rainbows. Two fish over 13 inches may be retained as part of the five trout daily limit. This pond get fished intensively during spring and early summer and has public access. Kids who are 14 and younger don’t need a fishing license to fish in the state of Washington; no license is required for anyone on Free Fishing Weekend, which is the first weekend in June following the first Monday.
