Quilt Block: Compass Rose
The quilt block was designed by Allison is a geometric combination of origami and compass rose patterns.
Owners: Gary Koch and Allison Carpenter
History: The barn was built in the 1960′s by Carole and Mickey Porter, who raised and sold quarter horses on the farm. The barn’s current function is for hay storage, livestock, and farm equipment storage. The farm sat empty for some time until the Koch-Carpenters acquired it and made it their home. They raise grass-fed goats and Highland cattle and have a large organic garden and berry patch.
