For years the Shedd Aquarium was the largest indoor aquarium in the world, featuring over 32,000 animals. Surrounded by the Museum Campus Chicago, the aquarium is neighbors with Adler Planetarium and the Field Museum of Natural History. It has three times won the best exhibit award for the Seahorse Symphony, Amazon Rising, and the Wild Reef. The permanent exhibits include the Amazon Rising, Caribbean Reef, Waters of the World, the Oceanarium, and Wild Reef. Not only will you find water animals, but as well you can see 150 different species including birds, snakes, amphibians, and insects. This is a great way to see amazing animals and is fun for all ages.
