• How do I become a Yodio author?
  
  Simply click on JOIN.
  

  1. Enter your desired username. There are several possibilities
  1. This can be your actual name (JohnDoe) if you would like other members and customers to know you by name.
  2. To maintain more confidentiality, choose a catchy screen name such as TravelWriterBob or EuropeanSojourner, etc
  3. Or you can use a variation of your website or blog name as well; ie: AdventurousTravels, etc. (You cannot use a "." in a screen name, therefore you may not use your entire URL)
  2. Enter your profile information including tags that fit what you're doing
  3. Click on Produce, choose the type of Yodio you'd like to produce and get started!

  
  
• Is there a fee to join Yodio's publishing program?
  
  No. There is no cost to becoming a Yodio author. Once your application to be an author is completed, and the information has been submitted for payment to you, then you are ready to produce, publish, and profit. You record and post titles for sale, and we retain a % of the revenues (excluding taxes and transaction charges) for titles products sold through the main Yodio Web site at www.Yodio.com. If you sell nothing, we earn nothing. You have nothing to lose except the increased revenue you could earn by having your products available through Yodio's distribution channels! Note: you do not have to be an official "author" to send free YodioCards.
  
  
• Why is additional registration required for authors to post their work for sale?
  
  Authors who post their work for sale on Yodio are engaging in business. Yodio needs additional information to insure proper payment of your royalties, and the government also has their own requirements on Yodio for information collection.
  
  
• Is there any benefit to authors from all of this member information
  
  Yes there are benefits to authors. Although Yodio never displays or shares information about individual members, it does create a “profile cloud” of members purchasing each of your titles. The “profile cloud” is an aggregation of the member’s information to create general information that can be beneficial to authors as they evaluate their works and who it appeals to.
  
  
• How do I upload my pre-recorded files to Yodio?
  
  Once you register as a Member and Author, you will receive your own Yodio account. In this account, you will have the option to click on “manage” and then select "upload" to begin uploading your previously recorded audio tracks. The process is simple and takes only a few minutes.
  
  
• Does Yodio have a policy regarding external URL's?
  
  Yes, Yodio's External URL Policy is as follows:
  
  All URL's within Yodio properties should remain within the Yodio.com domain, except in these instances:
  

  • A review from an enthusiast or news site is cited
  • In the case where a title is available for FREE to customers due to a sponsorship. The sponsor may have a promotional link that is posted through the formal sponsorship process.

  
  All other URL's not mentioned above are subject to removal at Yodio's discretion.
