Description of company: Yodio operates web-based audio publishing services for anyone to record voice-narrations to accompany digital photo presentations. Through this combination of photos with personal recordings, Yodio is creating a new category known as rich media podcasting. Users of Yodio’s start-to-finish audio publishing system can craft and deliver targeted, compelling narrated presentations or just share narrated photo albums with their friends using embedded links, players, and e-mail.

We are seeking a self-motivated, high energy, individual to create and manage a campus marketing plan to introduce a new concept of audio publishing (on the internet). The objectives are to reach targeted sub-communities of campus, to encourage trial of free system to record audio content, to perform editorial reviews of content, and to provide feedback to refine this new product concept. You will work with experienced entrepreneurial team to evaluate its systems and strategies.
Duties:
- Plan and implement a campus introduction campaign for the new product concept
- Design and execute a viral campaign for campus community
- Design and execute a publicity campaign for campus community; contact school newspaper and radio station.
- Distribute flyers around campus.
- Hold group meetings to evangelize the Yodio concept.
- Introduce people to the ease of recording.
- Assist authors in developing content / coach production process
- Perform editorial reviews on recorded content
- Work closely with management to evaluate the product concept, production processes, and marketing strategies.
Skills to be developed:
- Creating and executing a marketing and publicity campaign
- Working with individuals to create and record content
- Edit and review the works of others
- Independently perform specified tasks under measurable performance conditions.
- Local promotional experience

Credit: We will try to support any arrangement that you negotiate with your advisor or department chair. It would be a plus for you to get credit toward your degree when participating in this internship.
Supervisor of intern: President of company - long history of intern supervision in USA and abroad.
Helpful characteristics:
- Prior coursework in marketing/advertising
- Prior studies in journalism, broadcasting, writing
- Comfortable with internet and keyboarding
- Effective communicator with personable manner
- Knowledge in travel, publishing, or marketing
